Resveratrol, a natural antioxidant that is found in the skin of red grapes, berries and red wine has been lauded for its anti ageing benefits in recent years. It is a polyphenol (which is like a protective antibiotic produced in plants under stress) and when used in skincare it can to some extent have the same effects: helping to prevent damage and repair the skin from environmental damage.
